Johanna (Ursin) Gelinas, of Rockville, beloved Mother of James, Sandra, and Brian Gelinas and loving Grandmother of Marchary and Jay entered into eternal peace on Saturday, (April 30, 2005).

She was born in Stafford Springs and was the daughter of Julius and Ottlia Ursin. Besides her children and grandchildren she is survived by her sisters, Julia Ann Soja, Dorothy Wnuk, Margerite Bacon, Betty Lou Bey, Susan Plantter, and her brother, Michael Ursin and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Lillian Estell and brothers, Roy Ursin, John Ursin, and Julius Ursin Jr.

Johanna enjoyed cooking, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.

She will be remembered always in all of our hearts. We love you for every role you had in our lives; Mom, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and friend. We also thank you for the many special gifts you have given to each of us and we will hold them dearly until we meet again in Heaven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 6, at St. Bernard's Church, Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Rockville. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the White-Gibson-Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm Street, Rockville. Published in The Hartford Courant on May 3, 2005
