Killed in Civil War Battle.

Notes from a McCubbin researcher given to Carolyn McCubbin Scott:
Everyone has said that Abraham was killed in the battle of Shiloh. After extensive research it was found that he was NOT killed in the battle of Shiloh.

He was killed in a battle in Lone Jack, Missouri which is actually on the southeastern edge of modern Kansas City Missouri today. There was a water course of some kind that was named Shiloh. That is where the misinformation comes from. Abraham is 1 of 77 Union soldiers killed there. The burial trenches where the union soldiers lie buried among the names listed on the monument is:
Abraham McCubbin of Co F, 8th Missouri CAV.
