Retired Logan Teacher Taken
Logan-Mrs. Tytyne Higginbotham, a teacher in Logan County for 42 years, died Saturday in a Beckley Hospital.
Mrs. Higginbotham, of Shamrock in Logan County, last taught at Earling Grade School.
A graduate of Bluefield State College, she was a member of St. Phillips Baptist Church of Cora, a past basileus of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, a past president of the county and state Federated Women's Club and an officer of the Crippled Children's Society.
Surviving: husband, Tetris (Petris); son, Henry Tetris of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Mrs. Nina Smith of Beckley.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Phillips Baptist Church in Cora with the Rev. J. T. Mann officiating. Burial will be in Guyan Memorial Gardens at Godby.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at Pond Funeral Home in Logan.
