Relatives Find Woman Lifeless
Leona Crabb, 55, Thursday was found dead in a basement apartment at 5520 N.E. 22d avenue, where she lived alone. The victim's sister and brother-in-law found the body when they visited the house.
The coroner's office said Mrs. Crabb was found kneeling, with her head in a gas range oven with blankets around her. The furnace had been turned off. She was said to have had a cardiac condition and had been in ill health. An autopsy will be performed. The body is at the Little Chapel of the Chimes funeral home.
