BLUFFDALE, UT - Nannie (Nancy) Belle Umberger Crump, age 68, passed away Dec. 21, 2001 peacefully at home. She was born Dec. 31, 1932 in Wytheville, VA to Edgar Vance and Edna Catherine Umberger. She married Lorin (Squirt) Afton Crump
Sept. 28, 1953. She grew up in Virginia and was swept up by a good-looking Navy guy that brought her back to Utah.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lorin (Squirt) Crump; children, Mrs. Kerry (Nancy) Kump, Danny and Jonna Crump, Mrs. Keith (Pam) Quintana, Kenny and Laura Crump, Carl Crump, Dennis and Brenda Crump, Wes and Vickie Crump; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two more on the way; two sisters and three brothers, Loine Umberger, Arliene Laws, James S (Chick) Umberger, Edgar Vance Jr. Umberger, Joseph Mason Umberger.

Preceded in death by father, Edgar Vance Umberger; mother, Edna Catherine Umberger; four brothers, George Donival Umberger, Orville Durwood Umberger, Raymond Rudolf Umberger, Eugene Umberger; and one grandchild, Bridget Quintana.

Her joys in life were bowling, the Utah Jazz--especially Karl Malone and John Stockton, they could do no wrong and if you thought they could you were badly mistaken. She loved to read. Her most, cherished moments were bragging and showing off her grandchildren. She would take their pictures everywhere. This year was a bonus for her, she was so excited when she knew she was going to be the grandmother of twins.

A special thanks to the Bluffdale 1st Ward for their unconditional love, support and concern for our mother and family.

Funeral services will be held Thurs. Dec 27, 2001, 12 noon at the Bluffdale 1st Ward Chapel, 14400 S. Redwood Rd. Friends may call Wed. evening from 6-8 p.m., Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. and again Thurs. one hour prior to the services at the church. Mom, we love you and know that you are in a better place.
