Son of John Busch and Catherine Janssen, farmers in the Town of Buchanan, he married Harriet Van Handel 3 September 1929 at St. John Nepomucene Church, Little Chute, WI, and the couple raised their family in Kimberly, WI.

Jack was a 1st millwright for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation and also owned Busch's Frozen Custard in Kimberly.
