Clarence Holtkamp
Timewell, Ill, Sept 9 = Clarence E. Holtkamp, 64, of Iowa City, IA., formerly of Timewell died Thursday in a nursing home there after a lengthy illness.
Services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 in Timewell Christian Curch with the Rev. Robert Welsh officiating. Burial will be at Timewell.
Mr. Holtkamp was born at Timewell, March 3, 1902, son of Francis and Nellie Holtkamp. On Nov. 15, 1928, he married Ruby Berry at Mt. Sterling. They moved to Iowa City in 1953 when he became supervisor of preventive maintanence at the University of Iowa. He was an elder of the First Christian Church at Iowa City and a member of the Kendrick Masonic Lodge at Timewell. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Donald A. Holtkamp of Battle Creek, Mich., and Dan A. Holtkamp at home; three daughters, Mrs. Doroathy Cooley of Madrid, Spain, and Doris M. and Darlene Holtkamp of Iowas City, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Eyman of Iowa City, and Mrs. Beulah Flesner of Monona, Ia.
