CHILHOWEE RESIDENT PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Nannie Albin resident of Chilhowee, passed away Friday at her home in Chilhowee. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Community church in Chilhowee, conducted by Rev. G. Neeley, also of Chilhowee. Burial was in Sunset Hill cemetery in Warrensburg.
Mrs. G. Neeley, Miss Lettie Turner, Mrs. B.A. Fickey, and J.C. Shepard sang, "No Disappointment in Heaven," and "Some Day," accompanied by Mrs. Paul Howard. Mrs. George Russell sang, "When I Get to the End of the Way."
Pall bearers were Marion and Hugh Albin, sons; Luther Preston of Warrensburg, Harris Tillman of Clinton, and Guy McReynolds of Chilhowee, sons-in-law, and a nephew, Milt Miller of Clinton.
Mrs. Albin is survived by five children, Marion of Joplin, Mrs. Luther Preston, Warrensburg; Mrs. Harless Tillman, Mrs. Guy McReynolds, and Hugh Albin, Chilhowee.
Mrs. Nannie Albin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Taylor, was born April 2, 1863 in the Marr neighborhood, south of Warrensburg. When a small child, she moved with her parents to a farm four miles north of Chilhowee, where her mother died, leaving her at the age of 12 years. She was married to F.M. Albin in May, 1894. To this union were born nine children, four dying in infancy. When a young girl, Mrs. Albin was converted and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and remained a loyal member until death.

At her home in Chilhowee Friday morning, October 16, following a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 pm at the Union Church in Chilhowee.
Nannie Taylor, member of one of the oldest and most prominent families of Chilhowee community, was born 73 years ago south of Warrensburg and spent her life in and near Chilhowee. She was married to Frank Albin, who survives with five children; Mrs. Harless Tillman, near Clinton; Mrs. Guy McReynolds and Hugh Albin, Chilhowee; Mrs. Dora Preston, Warrensburg; Marion Albin, Joplin. There are also five grandchildren.
Mrs. Albin possessed a wonderful character, being highly respected in her community and loved by her family and friends for her kindly, happy disposition. She was a Presbyterian by faith, but had attended the Community Church at Chilhowee when able for many years.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Carpenter, assisted by Rev. Golden Neely, Baptist minister, at the Chilhowee Community church at 2 pm Sunday. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery at Warrensburg. A large congregation and many flowers testified to her great circle of friends.
