Edna Virginia Starnes, 77, of Buena Vista died Monday, May 19, at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.
She was born April I, 1920, in Buena, Vista, daughter of the late George T. Chittum and Mary Belle Giles Chittum.
She is survived by a daughter, Helen Louise Young of Glasgow; a sister, Elsie Lee Roberts of Buena Vista; a brother, Thomas Chittum of Covington; a stepmother, Annie Coffey of Buena Vista; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. J. Art Brumit. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
