Shirley Helen Quick, Age 92 of Newaygo died Thursday, November 29, 2012.

She was born Shirley Helen Boeder in Lake Forest, Illinois, the daughter of Elizabeth Dora (Matson) and Herman Robert Boeder on June 22, 1920.

She married Gordon Monroe Quick on December 24, 1940 in Fremont, Michigan and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1979.

She was a Cook for Newaygo Public Schools. She was a member of Newaygo United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children Sally Alighire of San Antonio, TX, David & Jane Quick of Newaygo, Peter & Pat Quick of Grand Rapids, and Kevin Quick of Grand Rapids, : 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her sister Carol & Frank Koncol.

She was preceded in death by her son Steven Quick and grandson Antony Alighire. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from the Newaygo United Church of Christ on Monday, December 3, 2012 with Rev. Jonathan Ridell officiating.

Interment in Croton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5‑7 pm Sunday at McKinley Funeral Home, Newaygo Chapel
