A daughter of the late Robert and Susie Vernon Wilson, she was born in Oconee County, S.C., having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was employed with Wright Manufacturing Company for some 20 years and later Hostess to Wendy's for some 14 years, a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church and the Mary Esther Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wofford Adams and by six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Carol Adams of Eastanollee and Randy and Rucia Adams of Toccoa; sister, Earlene Crenshaw of Westminster, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Adams of Toccoa and Clyde Wilson of Westminster, S.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2 p.m., in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Sheriff and the Rev. Dr. Earl Fowlkes officiating. The following served as pallbearers, Mike Crenshaw, Wade Sheriff, Alton Adams, Bob Wilson, Ron Matheson and Al Huber.
