PLACK - Ethel M., 86, of Richland Township, died Aug. 9, 2004, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born August 19, 1917, in Scalp Level, daughter of David and Sadie (Custer) Allison. Preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Cora Allison; husband, Earl; infant sister, Sadie; brother, Samuel; and sisters, Agnes Shaffer and Hazel Mills. Survived by brothers, David Allison, Jr., Rockwood, and Elmer Allison, York. Also survived by special niece, Janet Wallace (Janet Shaffer-Wallace), and numerous other nieces and nephews. At the request of the family there will be no public visitation, however family and friends are invited to join them for a memorial service at 11 a.m. Aug. 28 at Belmont United Methodist Church. Family suggests that memorial contributions can be directed to either Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa Street, Johnstown, Pa. 15904 or Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren Street, Johnstown, Pa. 15904. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at Belmont United Methodist Church, the Rev. David S. Evans officiating. The family is being served by The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
