Marie Jensen Andersen. In
1915 she immigrated to
America, coming to Newell.
On Feb. 19, 1919, she was
united in marriage to Nels
A. Petersen in Newell. Of
this union four children
were born: Betty Ann
Christensen and Elva Virginia
(Mrs. Warren Frericks),
both of Newell, Verna
Jean (Mrs. Joe Witter) of
Lambard, Ill., and Virgil
Dean Petersen of Loveland,
Colo.
After coming to America
Agnes lived the remainder
of her life in Newell. She
was a member of Nain Lutheran
Church, the American
Legion Auxiliary and
the Danish Sisterhood. She
died on Oct. 26 at the Buena
Vista County Hospital in
Storm Lake.
She is survived by her
four children, a daughter-in-law,
two sons-in-law, a sister
and brother in Denmark,
twelve grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren.
