He grew to manhood on a farm near Logan and attended High Prairie School. He lived his entire life in the Logan area.
On June 7, 1966 he was united in marriage to Sharon Crawmer at Logan. Two children were born to this marriage: Jack and Joey. Following their marriage, he worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was working for Production Management Incorporated at the time of his death.
Dee was a kind, considerate husband and father and his love for his family was evidenced by many happy hours that he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home near Logan; one son Jack, age 6 and one daughter, Joey, age 3 of the home, and by his mother, Loretta Horn of Logan, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivo Horn in 1966.
Services were held December 26 at the Christian Church in Logan. Mark Huntley officiated.
Casket bearers were Larry Horn, Dick Horn, Dalbert Bruning, Mike Stanton, Rick Schurz and Randall Lyon. Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.
