ADAMS, Elberta Boozer Taylor, 83, of Woodruff, S.C., passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2000 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was a native of Spartanburg County and was the daughter of the late George William and Sarah Boozer. She was first married to the late Harold T. Taylor and later to the late Albert M. Adams. She was a member of First Baptist Church and former member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday School teacher at both churches and was very active in the homebound ministry. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer, a volunteer at B. J. Workman Memorial Hospital as long as her health permitted. She was a dedicated youth worker and retired from Abney Mills, Woodruff. She is survived by one son, Larry T. Taylor, Blacksburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Marc Taylor, Knoxville, Tenn., Michelle T. Brandon, Richmond, Va.; one great-grandchild, Heather Brandon, Richmond, Va. Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Andrew Shull and the Rev. Landon Horton officiating. Burial in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, Woodruff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Elberta Taylor Adams Memorial Fund at First Baptist Church, 801 Cross Anchor Rd., Woodruff, S.C. 29388. Arrangements by Forest Hills Funeral Home-Woodruff.
