Miss Grace Hodge McCormick,
was born on March 24,
1896 at Buncombe, Ill. the
daughter of Mr and Mrs Alexander
Hodge. At the age of
16, she accepted Christ as her
personal Savior, and united
with the Baptist Church of
Marion, Ill.
In 1915, she was united in
marriage to Mr Ernest McCormick.
To this union were
born three children: Mrs Vivian
Baxter of Storm Lake;
Mrs Laura Mae Schumann of
Albert City; and Ernest (Bill)
of London, England. Eight
grandchildren, Jimmie Baxter,
Gene, Richard, Craige and
Rex Alan Schumann; Diane,
Michael, and Steven Robert
McCormick. Two great-grand
children, Stephanis and David
Baxter.
/ Two brothers survive, Robert
Hodge of Princeton, 111,
and Norman Hodge of Marion,
111. and a sister, Mrs Odie
Hinson of Newell
Mrs McCormick was a faith
ful members of the First Baptist
Church of Newell, and also
the VFW Auxiliary.
Previous to their living in
Newell, they had resided in
Sac City for nearly 23 years.
They moved to Newell in 1946.
