Betty Marie Ridings, 88, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at her granddaughter's home in Emmitsburg.
Born Sept. 10, 1924, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Anna Mable Groft Beaver, of Westminster. She was the wife of Warren L. Ridings, who died in 1997.
Before retiring she worked on the family farm and then was a seamstress at Union Bridge Clothing Factory. She was a member of the Westminster Moose No. 897, VFW Post No. 467, American Legion Post No. 31 and the Littlestown Eagles. She enjoyed playing bingo and eating out.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Barbara Ann Jackson and Darnell, of New Windsor; step-daughter Lyn Smith and husband Joseph, of Sykesville; brother and sister-in-law Floyd M. Beaver and Betty, of Westminster; a sister, Doris Click, of Taneytown; grandchildren Donald F. Anthony Jr., Dana S. Collins, Michael A. Anthony; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
