Helena Theresa (Deling) Kopischke, age 90, of Madison Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Oak Terrace in North Mankato, her home since 2015. Funeral services were at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Elysian. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Elysian.Helen was born February 27, 1928, in Fairmont, the daughter of Frederick and Johanna (Oltman) Deling. She married Clarence Kopischke on September 25, 1955, in Vernon Center. Always a hard-working woman, she was employed at Shari Candies in Mankato for more than 25 years and continued working various jobs into her eighties. Helen was a faithful Christian woman who loved children and was a Sunday school teacher at Bethlehem Lutheran for more than 35 years. In her spare time, she was an avid bird watcher, baker, gardener, and reader.Helen is survived by her six children, Darrell (Patti) of Janesville, Carol (Jon) Schneider of Eagle Lake, Marilyn (Bob) Pongratz of Good Thunder, Glorie (Mike) Kaderlik of Madison Lake, Mark (Tami) of Madison Lake, and Leroy (Cindy) of Elysian; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Deling of Waseca. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, six sisters and one brother
