Audrey fell asleep in death Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in her daughters home in Oak Grove, Ark. surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones, at the age of 77.
Audrey dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1958. She attended the Berryville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved sharing Bible truths with any and all. She loved painting and was a talented and creative glassblower as well.
Audrey is survived by three daughters, Kay Mavis Jones of Berryville, Ark.; Julie Mavis Molina of Mt. Judea, Ark.; Gina Mavis Ross of Huntsville, Ark.; two sons, Russ Mavis of West Fork, Ark.; and Chris Mavis of West Fork, Ark.; one stepson, Brent Langston of Cassville, Mo.; one sister, Betty Denton, of Tahlequah, Okla.; two brothers, Pedro Denton of Anchorage, Alaska; and Ivan Denton of Schaberg, Ark., 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a multitude of other family, friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents Webster and Lena Denton, her first husband, Russell Lee Mavis, her second husband, Victor Roy Langston, her son, Vernon Clarence Mavis, her granddaughter Amy Jeanette McLaughlin, brother, Dan Denton of Texas and one sister, Laronna Murray of Nash County, N.C.
A memorial service will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1405 North Springfield Street, Berryville, Arkansas at 6 p.m. Friday November 30, 2012. All are encouraged to bring their own copy of the Bible.
Arrangements were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home.
