Winnie Mae Young, 92, retired offset printer, resident of Bartlesville formerly of Tonkawa Ok., died Tuesday in Bartlesville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Wright and interment will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday in the Highland Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Young was born on August 24, 1920 at Mulberry, Arkansas to Earnest A. and Leona V. (Brewer) Baker. She was raised and received her early education at Ponca City, and graduated High School at Newkirk, Oklahoma. She later attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College at Tonkawa Oklahoma. She was married to Wayne Haen in 1947, and from that union two daughters Linda Kay and LaDonna Sue were born. They made their home in Tonkawa for several years until 1967, when she moved to Blackwell where she made her home until 1983. She was married to LeRoy J. Young on February 14, 1983 at Winfield Kansas, where they made their home for several years and she worked at the Furr's Cafeteria in Ponca City, Ok. They later moved to Truth or Consequences New Mexico where they made their home for 19 years. In 2003 they moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma and have made their home here since that time.

Mrs. Young's Hobbies were Art and Painting. She was quite an accomplished artist, winning several awards, and she had an art show in Stillwater, Oklahoma exhibiting her work in 2008. She also enjoyed sewing and growing flowers, and she loved to play and sing bluegrass music.
She loved and was devoted to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Young is survived by her husband Leroy J. Young of the home, two daughters Mrs. Linda Kay Nelson and husband Terry of Bartlesville, and LaDonna Sue McCune of Perkins, Oklahoma and by a sister Mrs. Beulah Criner of Ponca City, Oklahoma by three grandchildren Tracy McCune and Amber McCune both of Tonkawa, Oklahoma and Tarah Edgar and her husband Erik of Perry, Oklahoma and by three great grandchildren Gavynn Stout, Emory Mae Edgar, and Harper RaeAnn McCune.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest A. and Leona V. Baker, by four brothers Albra, Warren, Claude, and Byron Baker, and by one grandson Kelly Nelson in 2011.
