Jeremy Bryan Randolph, age 26, of Askov, died Thursday, November 22 at his home. Jeremy was born May 24, 1986 in Minneapolis to Jim and Marie Randolph. He grew up on a dairy farm south of Hinckley until he moved with his family at the age of nine to become the fourth generation to live on the farm near Askov. Jeremy graduated in 2004 from Hinckley Finlayson High School and later graduated with honors from Bemidji State University with a degree in biology. He most recently worked for the Minnesota Department of Health in Saint Paul as a lab technician. Jeremy was an extremely intelligent, engaging, kind young man with a host of friends. He loved hunting, fishing, and his beloved farm where he spent many hours in the woods.

A little-understood and devastating illness – bipolar disorder – slowly robbed Jeremy of all joy in his life, to the point that he saw only darkness in the future. His family believes that now, finally, he is at peace and resting in comfort.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Marie (Arlan) Dahlke, of Bagley; brother, Jimmy (Lauren) Randolph, of Minneapolis; sister, Devi Randolph, of Kenmare, ND; two foster brothers, Alben (Sandy) Mokrzycki, of Hinckley, and Tony Mokrzycki, of Seattle, WA; girlfriend, Stephanie Peterson, of Saint Paul; several step brothers and step sisters; aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many, many friends.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Askov with Rev. Steve McCaughn officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 5:30 until 8 P.M. at Methven Funeral Home in Sandstone as well as one hour prior to the service at the church.
