Phyllis M. Hutchison, 82, of 115 Glade Park East, Kittanning (East Franklin Township), died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the Mountain View Specialty Care Center, Greensburg.

She was born October 11, 1921 in Kittanning to William B. and Grace J. (Schaeffer) Hutchison.

Miss Hutchison was a retired teacher having been employed by the Radnor Township Schools, Philadelphia.

A Navy Veteran, she served in the WAVES during World War II.

A 1940 graduate of Kittanning High School, she received her bachelor's in elementary education from Indiana State Teachers College, Indiana.

She was a Protestant.

She was an avid reader and, in her youth, she enjoyed skiing and ice skating.

Survivors include four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William A. and Edward H. Hutchison.

Burial will be in Kittanning Cemetery.
