Albertus Nelson Watkins was the son of Merrit Leroy Watkins and Lionne Atwood. He was married to Sarah Ellen Batman 23 October 2012 in Warrensburg Johnson County Missouri. They were the parents of 2 children, Merlin Ralph Watkins, born 21 August 1913 in Garden Prairie Illinois and Liona Ann Watkins Johnson born 5 July 1918 in Johnson County Missouri. Both Albertus "Bert" and "Ella" died after suffering complications from the influenza epidemic of 1918/19. Pneumonia is listed as cause of death on both death certificates.
