Professor Andrew J. Waychoff, a well known educator and highly esteemed citizen, died at his home on Huffman Street, Sunday night, after an illness of two days. Andrew J. Waychoff was born in Jefferson Township, April 12, 1849, a son of Johnson and Delliah Rich Waychoff. Professor Waychoff was united in marriage with Miss Manty Mundell November 21, 1873. He is survived by his wife and the following sons and daughters: Clyde C. Waychoff, Bellevue, Ohio; Glenn A. Waychoff, Tacoma, Washington; Attorney's Challen W., Roy J., and A. J. Waychoff, Jr., all of Waynesburg; Oma M., wife of Frank B. Hill of Waynesburg; and Nellie E., wife of Dr. Charles R. Meek of Lorain, Ohio. One sister, Mrs. E.D. Stewart of Waynesburg; and one brother, Hugh B. Waychoff of Auburndale, Florida, also survive. Funeral services were held in the First Presbyerian Church, of which he was a member, Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. James Edgar Wilson, assisted by Rev. J. G. Lauderbaugh, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, and Rev. F. C. Viele, Pastor of the First Methodist Protestant Church. Interment was made in the Glades Cemetery, Carmichaels.
