GUTHRIE, James Herman, 59, 1 Marston Ave., died yesterday at 6 p.m. after an extended illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Morgan Guthrie, Gadsden; sons, James Kenneth Guthrie, Huntsville; and Billy Ray Guthrie, Gadsden; mother, Mrs. Bessie Mae Guthrie, Gadsden; brothers, Royce and Truman Guthrie, both of Gadsden; Alfred Guthrie, Centre; sisters, Mrs. Easter Atchley and Mrs. Viola Duke, Gadsden; a grandchild.
Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Collier - Butler Chapel with the Rev. W. R. Giddens officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers Leroy Black, William Garrett, Paul Guffey, R. C. Duke, Gene O’Dell, Hixson McKenzie.
Mr. Guthrie was a native of Marshall County and a resident of Etowah County most of his life. The body will remain at Collier - Butler through the hour of service.
