Son Albert Ambrose McKibbon stayed in Merrickville. Daughter Ellen Theresa McKibbon married Albert Gorman. Daughter Margaret Ann McKibbon married Frederick S. McCrea.

The Perrin family came from Ireland and settled in Beckwith Township and later moved to Montague. Maria's parents are buried in Smiths Falls at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Sometime after the 1911 census Robert and Maria left Merrickville to live with their daughter Elizabeth Fitzsimmons in Ottawa.
