McPherson Scott (Max)
Weaver, 813 View Street, died at
his home Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
of complications after an illness
of six weeks, aged 76 years.
He was born in Benevola, son
of the late Peter John and
Elizabeth (Trone) Weaver. He
was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church, Hagerstown. He was
formerly caretaker at the
Hagerstown Fairgrounds for a
number of years. Later he was
employed, by the Danzer Metal
Works Co. He retired five years
ago.
He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Mary (Moats) Weaver;
son, William L., Hagerstown;
daughters, Mrs. Mae Showe,
Hagerstown; Mrs. Helen Stouffer,
at home; five grandchildren;
one brotherer, Harry L.
Weaver, Hagerstown.
The body was taken to the
Bast funeral home in Boonsboro
where services will be held
Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the
Rev. W. Ronald Fearer officiating.
Interment will be made in
Fahrney's Cemetery at Mapleville.
The family will meet
friends at the funeral home
Tuesday evening.
