STERLING - Services for Richard H. "Dick" Ackley, 49, 602 W. 4th St., who died Wednesday in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, after an extended illness, will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Grennan Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Sharon; two sons, Michael, a student at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, and Peter, serving in the Navy; a daughter, Karen Ackley, Dixon; a stepdaughter, Dawn Abner; and a grandson.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a wake service will be at 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
