Cheryl Ann Jacobsen Olson, 51, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012, at her home.

She was born October 12, 1961 in American Falls, Idaho, to Donald E. Jacobsen and Arlene D. Tinker Jacobsen. The family moved to Idaho Falls where she attended Bush Elementary, Eagle Rock Junior High and Skyline High School.

In March 1981, she married Mike Olson in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced. She was a mother and homemaker who also worked as a hotel maid, waitress, and cashier at Kmart.

Cheryl loved camping, family reunions, going to the park, movies, dancing, 70's music, and playing cards with her grandchildren. She had a smile to light up a room and a laugh that carried a song. She loved and cared for everyone even the smallest things. She was easy to love and was a great friend that you always wanted around. Cheryl was our angel on earth and now our angel has her wings.

She is survived by daughters, Amy M. Hill (Gale Colby) and Erica Olson (J. R. Rodriguez), both of Ammon; sister, Sharon M. Dixon, of Idaho Falls; nephews, Gene Dixon, Donald Dixon and Caleb Dixon; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Fallsbrook LDS Branch, 3700 E. Lincoln Rd., with President Robert Peterson officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
