HAZEL DEAN (STANLEY)SCOTT Of Springport Passed away August 7, 2012 at the age of 75. She was born in Laura, KY March 8, 1937 the daughter of Freeman and Bertha (Mullins) Stanley. Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, mushrooming and traveling. She worked as a floor lady at Heifitz pickle factory and was a caretaker for the elderly. Hazel was a member of the Church of Christ. Hazel is survived by her husband, Ersel Scott of Springport; children, Michael (Christina Ann) Scott of Alanson, Judy (Larry) Noren of Springport, Troy Lee (Heather) Scott of Horton, MI; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Doris) Stanley of Grass Lake, Donald (Elaine) Stanley of Johnstown, OH; sisters, Josephine (Dean) Tiller of Moorehead, KY, Linda (Leroy) Jewell of Warfield, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janet Fay Jecks; son, Dwayne David Scott; sisters, Fay Maynard, Ethel Mae Brewer, Shirley Arnold; brothers, Ray, Everett, Ervin, Chester, Clayton and Freeman Jr. Stanley Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday August 11, 2012 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids. Interment will follow at Tompkins Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of donor's choice.
