Frank Romalfanger, 78, well known retired Milwaukee railroad employee who lived at 611 1/2 2nd Avenue SE, died at St Luke's Hospital after a four week illness.

Funeral services will be held at 9am Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr Monaghan will officiate. Burial will be made in the family lot at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Huebl Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be said at 8pm Monday at the Huebl Chapel.

Mr Romalfanger was born August 15, 1872, at Freeport, Illinois. There he grew to young manhood and married Florence Woodruff. In 1907, they moved with their family to Roscoe, SD. In 1913, Mrs Romalfanger died. A year later, Mr Romalfanger married Mrs Myrtle Henning at Roscoe.

The following year, they came with their family to Aberdeen where he has lived since. In 1931, Mrs Romalfanger died. Mr Romalfanger married Mrs Daisy Asher at Los Angeles, CA, on April 16, 1939.

Mr Romalfanger was in the employ of the Milwaukee Railroad continously from 1914 until his retirement in June 1949.

Mr Romalfanger is survived by his widow; one son, James of Jamestown, ND; four stepsons, Melvin Henning, Aberdeen,SD; George Henning, Los Angeles, CA; Amos DeVore, Ashland, OR; and Andy DeVore, Denver, CO; four daughters, Mrs Edward Belanger and Mrs Lester Grote, both of Aberdeen, SD; Mrs Franklin Jensen and Miss Buelah Romalfanger, both of Santa Monica, CA; two stepdaughters, Mrs Edward Cary, Minneapolis, MN; and Mrs Vera McAvoy of Los Angeles, CA; 23 grandchilren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr Romalfanger was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Railway Brotherhood.
