Vicki Mae Weindel, 51 of Fort Smith died Monday, November 26, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 2nd, 1961 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Bill and Gladys Morrison.

She was a 1979 Valedictorian of Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Arkansas where she spent her youth. Vicki graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry which led to 32 year career with the United States Forest Service.
Vicki served as a Cub Scout Den Leader where 6 scouts from her den went on to achieve Eagle Scout rank. As a devoted mother, she remained actively engaged in Boy Scouts which led to both of her sons achieving Eagle Scout rank.
She also was very active in the Greenwood School District always ready to help a teacher on a field trip or plan a party for the class in elementary school. Vicki served in the PTO in different positions including Treasurer, Secretary and Public Relations. She was a BETA club parent volunteer where she served as a chaperone to numerous National and State Conventions. Vicki also served as Bulldog Breakout Treasurer and Co-Director.
She was an avid fan of Greenwood Bulldog football where her son played on back to back State Championship teams. She was secretary of the Booster Club and active in the MOMS club.
Vicki had great love for the home she and her husband built and always graciously welcomed in visitors wanting to share her treasured heirlooms and antiques.

She devoted her life to her husband and sons of whom she is survived; Richard, her husband of 26 years, along with her sons, Shane, UAMS Medical Student, and Heath, U of A Fort Smith Engineering Student. She is also survived by her father, Bill Morrison of Jacksonville and sister, Pam Carter and her husband, Tim of Cabot. She was loved deeply by her in laws and their families along with her nephews and nieces and was adored by a multitude of friends.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenwood where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held also at First Baptist Church in Greenwood on Thursday at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Pordue Cemetery near Onia, Arkansas beginning at 3 p.m.

Pallbearers are Bo Carter, Blake Carter, Steve Ling, Walker Cox, Daniel Fritsche and Brian Weindel.
