Deceased Name: Dr. James F. Gilmer
Dr. James F. Gilmer, 77, of 829 Ohio Ave., Lemoyne, died Friday in the Leader Nursing Home West.

He was a dentist in Harrisburg for 40 years; a veteran of World War II; a past president of the Fifth District Dental Society; a former member of the board of directors, a former secretary and a past president of the Medical Bureau of Harrisburg; attended St. Francis Preparatory School and was a graduate of the the Georgetown School of Dental Medicine; a member of the board of the Harrisburg Ostomy Association; and St. Theresa's Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Clara G. Gilmer; two daughters, Frances E. Haugen of Etna, N.H., and Anne M. of Cambridge, Mass.; two sons, James D. of Lebanon, N.H., and George A. of Lemoyne; a sister, Ann G. Gilbert of Pittsburgh; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Satruday in his church by the Rev. Edward C. Malesic. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisburg Ostomy Association, 4210 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg 17112.

The Musselman Funeral Home, Lemoyne, is handling arrangements.
