WINTERS -- Lena Emma Sentz, 88, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sentz was born in Runnels County, where she lived for many years. She also lived for a total of 10 years in New Mexico and Colorado. She sang in the choir at St. John's Lutheran Church and quilted for Lutheran World Relief. She was the widow of John Henry Sentz, whom she married in 1945 in Winters.
Survivors include two daughters, Cecilia Fay Sentz of Abilene and Mary Sylvia Drobot of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Albert Spill and Walter Spill, both of Winters; one sister, Josie Hoppe of Winters; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
