Chloe Farr Todd's book entitled, "Farr Family History of Webster County, Missouri and Blount County, Tennessee", published July 1984, contains the following excerpt:

Marjorie was the daughter of John Maxwell and Elizabeth Susan (White), who also lived at Maryville, Tennessee. John (Maxwell) died when Marjorie and her sister, Rebecca Jane, were very small children. John Maxwell's will named no other children, but he did name wife Elizabeth, brothers Thomas and Archibald Maxwell; also, William White who probably was the father of Elizabeth Susan. Rebecca Jane married George Rudd, and died as a young woman, probably without children. It is believed that William White was of the Whites of Knoxville and Maryville.
