Michael Allen Halko, Jr., 69, resident of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on March 28, 2010. He was born on May 18, 1940, to Michael and Jennie Halko in Cleveland, Ohio. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was member of the International Longshoreman’s Association of Steamship Clerks and Checkers Local #1351, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2753 in La Porte, and the National Rifle Association. He is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Halko; parents, Michael Halko and Jennie Ross; and his daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Halko.

Michael is survived by his daughter Donna Allen; son Michael Halko III; sisters Judy Halko, Sandra Sloan, Kay Maxine Bellisario and husband Dave, and Virginia Cihlar and husband Dick; brothers, Richard and Joseph Halko; grandchildren Jessica, Amanda, Michael IV, Joseph, Phillip, Veronica, Josephine, Daniel and Andrew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later time at Houston National Cemetery.
