She was born in Dade City and had lived in Palatka 35 years, coming from Richland, Wash. She was a retired registered nurse, having served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She worked for many years in the First Aid Department at Hudson Pulp 7 Paper Corp. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Palatka.
She is survived by a son, Lester Howton of San Mateo; daughter, Marilyn Mann of Palatka; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with the Rev. Leroy Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill east Cemetery. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 7 Dec 1993.)
