Verna E. Cook, age 83, of OFallon, Missouri, formerly of Ellenton, Florida, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Garden Villas of OFallon. She was born March 31, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, the daughter of Herschel and Plura Brantley Keathley. Verna was a beautician and a member of the Hazelwood Church of Christ. Survivors include daughter, Nita W. Sanders; son-in-law, Gregory A Warner; six grandchildren, Phillip Sanders, Dawn M. Borders, Raymond J. Golden, Patrick M. Sanders, Jennifer L. Skinner and Rebecca S. Maczko; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie W. Cook; daughter, Patricia S. Warner; son-in-law, Francis D. Sanders. A memorial gathering will be held for Verna on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 10 A.M. until noon at Garden Villas of OFallon, 7092 South Outer 364, OFallon, MO 63368.
