Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Louise M. (Roske) Bauer, age 89, of Sauk Rapids who passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. Reverend Alan Wielinski will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Foreston, MN.
Louise was born on July 6, 1923 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to James and Louise (Bachel) Woods. She married George Roske on April 29, 1943 in St. Cloud. Throughout her life Louise worked both at Fingerhut and helped raise her family at home. She married Ed Bauer on June 12, 1971 in Foreston.
She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, dancing, and playing cards. Louise especially loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her children; Louise (Dan) Miles of Royalton, Jim (Betty) Roske of Oak Park, Pat Byrne of Burnsville, Shirley (Roger) Olberding of St. Cloud, Robert (Carol) of Zimmerman, Bob Bauer of Foley, Donna Bauer of New Brighton; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; sister, Florence; and brother, Tom.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, George in 1970, and Ed in 1991; one infant son, George; grandson, Randy; brothers and sisters, Alvin, Urban, Eugene, Edward, Marie, Clara, and Ethel.
