Lorene A. Liberty-Curtis of Brownington, VT has passed. She was born on May 17, 1945, and passed on November 22, 2012.

The widow of Lee John Curtis, she was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyndon Liberty of Irasburg and her brother, Byron Liberty.

She is survived by her sisters , Patricia Fudge and family, Linda Ouellette and family, Kathy Benjamin and family and Michael Liberty. She is also survived by her seven children, Debbie, Christopher, Patrick, Andrea, April, Katrina and Alicia; 11 grandchildren and close friend Ralph Sweatt of Evansville, VT.

She was a professional quilter with hand sewn works of art that were sold all over the country and in numerous publications with many awards. She was a lover of books, early American history and our families genealogy. She was a patron of several libraries and Clan of the Hawk Tribal Group. She was a single mother of seven children and a jack of all trades. She would give you the shirt of her back if you would only ask. She will be surely missed.

There will be a family gathering on Wednesday November 28, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Rice Hill United Methodist Church, corner of Vermont Route 78 and Rice Hill Road.

At Lorene's request there will be no viewing.
