Council Bluffs News - Joseph J. Cook, aged 52 years, died at 2:30 yesterday morning at his home at Gilliat, from a complication of diseases, after an illness extending over a period of nearly two years. He is survived by his wife, four daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. M. L. Nixon, Mrs. M. H. Nixon, Mrs. A. L. Kocher and Miss Pearl Cook. The sons are W. J. and A. L. Cook. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters. The deceased was a member of Council Bluffs aerie No. 104, Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mr. Cook was born in Pottawattamie county and lived here all his life. The funeral will be held Sunday, the cortege leaving the house at 12:15 and coming to the Latter Day Saints' church here, where services will be held at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Joshua Carlisle of Underwood. The Eagles will have charge of the service. Burial will be at the Garner cemetery.
