Division of land of William Brooks by his widow and children on 21 Nov. 1873. Elmira Brooks widow of said William Brooks and Joseph Brooks, Elbert F. Brooks, Mary A. Brooks (now Rose), Samuel M Brooks, William H. Brooks, heirs of the said William Brooks now we have made partition of said land among ourselves and have drawn lots as will be fully shown hereafter. Now we Joseph A Brooks, Samuel M Brooks, Mary A Rose have bargained sold, conveyed and confirmed with the said Elbert F. Brooks our shares of said tract. They drew to see who got the land, and the winner paid the others so much for their share.
