Aiken SC Mr. Julian C Dude Walker, 85, or Aiken SC, husband of Lorenia Widener Walker and son of the late James R. and Ruth Pennington Walker, died Thursday, November 12th, 2009.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he retired from Clearwater Finishing Plant after twenty five years of service. A World War II Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Medic. A member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church, Dude taught Sunday School for twenty-five years and was on the Deacon board for thirty-five years, twenty-five of those years he served as Chairman. He was an avid musician all of his life.
In addition of his wife, family members include daughters, Joy Walker Yarbrough, (Jimmy) Aiken SC and Joan Walker Harmon, (Stan) Aiken SC, son, the late Melvin Julian Walker, Sisters, Pearl Vamosy Manchester, NJ, the late Ellen Weatherford and the late Inez Ruthland, brothers, Dan Walker, Federalsburg, MD and the late Oscar Walker, grandchildren, Brad Harmon, Sarah Harmon Waters, Donald Black Jr and Julian Todd Black and great-grandchildren, Cole Harmon, Caylen Harmon Isaac Waters, Eliza Waters, Christian Black and Kayla Black
