She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Laura Leslie, Elmont, L.I., Mrs. Beatrice Ducette, West Plattsburg, N.Y. and Mrs. Ruth Darrah, Morrisonville, N.Y.; one brother, George Smart, West Chazy, N.Y.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was born May 28, 1903 in Altona, N.Y., daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie Gonyea Smart.
She came to Berkshire in 1944 from the Bronx. For many years she was an employee of Macy's Department Store in New York City and of St. Mary's Hospital in Manhattan. At one time she was a member of the former Speedsville Grange.
Cremation took place, arrangements were made by the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
