Arbogast Rites Held Tuesday

Mrs. Clara Arbogast, 67, died suddenly at Piedmont Friday, November 30. She was visiting at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hanks, when death occurred.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Donald Greenough officiated at the service. Interment was in the GAR Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Rosco Deardorff, Carl Labor, Harry Chard, Lloyd Marsh, Earl Taylor and Vern Collins.

Mrs. Arbogast, the former Clara Stevens, was a lifetime resident of Hand County and Miller. She was born in Mondamin township January 26, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Stevens. She graduated from Miller high school. May 28, 1930 she was married to Charles Arbogast, in Miller, and they established their home on a farm in Glendale township, where they spent their entire married life. Following the death of her husband, she moved to Miller to make her home. Mrs. Arbogast was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Women's Society.

Surviving her death are two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Erla) Nicholas, Miller, and Mrs. Keith (Avis) Hanks of Piedmont; one grandson, four granddaughters, and one brother, William Stevens, Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one sister and one brother.
