YORKTOWN — Sandra R. Tosh, 49, on Saturday, April 27, 2002, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sandra faced her illness with courage and peace and maintained her sense of humor until the end. Sandra was a lifetime resident of the Peninsula and a graduate of Bethel High School, and attended Tomlinson College in Tennessee and was a former employee of T. Parker Host Ship Agency, Denbigh Christian School and Thru the Heart. She was an active member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Hampton, Va. Sandra loved family gatherings, the color "blue," work days at church, missions trips, Arts & Crafts painting, animals, greeting cards, Mexican food, the mountains, buying gifts for others, garage sales, Easter egg hunts, and her Sunday School Class. Most of all she loved her Lord, her family and her church. Sandra was a selfless person who put the wants and needs of others ahead of her own. Sandra was best friend as well as mother to her daughter Jessica. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Randy, and daughter, Jessica, of Yorktown, her parents, Ed and Shirley Rickman, her sister, Kathy Adams and her husband, Michael, and her brother, Tom Rickman, all of Newport News; and a large extended family and many friends.

A Memorial Service and Visitation will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1380 N. Mallory Street in Hampton, Va. Private placement of remains will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Calvary Assembly of God Building Fund, 1380 N. Mallory Street, Hampton, VA 23663, or to The American Cancer Society,895 Middleground Blvd., Suite 154, Newport News, VA 23606.
