Husband of Alice Collins, daughter of Granville Daniel and Ida Collins. They were wed on March 10th, 1941, in Clay County, Kentucky. Together, they had the following children: Linda, Geraldine, Daniel, Dewey, Chris, Denver, Cecil, Richard, and Robin. He was also a father to his very special step-son, Bart Smith.

Passed away at Marymount Hospital in London, Laurel County, Kentucky on June 25th, 1990.

He is very loved and missed by a multitude of descendants.
