Christopher Wayne "Gomer" Staggs, age 35, of Lenore, WV., passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born December 6, 1976 in Gilford County, NC., the son of Ed and Linda Overcast Staggs of Ransom, KY.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents George and Helen Overcast.

Chris was an emergency vehicle operator for STAT Ambulance and he worked as a security guard for TMK Security at Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Misty Carey Staggs of Lenore, WV., his children, Christopher Austin Staggs and Candace Dawn Staggs both of the home, two brothers, Timothy (Jessica) Staggs of Blackberry City, WV., and Nathan (Kimmie) Staggs of Delbarton, WV., one sister, Melinda (James) Dean of Williamson, WV., his mother-in-law, Mary Newsome of Lenore, WV., his father-in-law, Rebel (Kathy) Carey of Williamson, WV., his brother-in-law, Joey (Kristy) Carey of Williamson, WV., his paternal grandparents, William and Mabel Staggs of Ransom, KY., nieces, Madison Carey, Brooklyn Staggs, Victoria Staggs, and Natalee Staggs,
nephews, Chandler Carey, Jaxson Carey, Phillip Staggs, and T.J. Staggs, his special friend and EMS partner, L.C. Blankenship of Belfry, KY., a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service at the Williamson Fieldhouse in West Williamson, WV., with Rev.Ron Sanger officiating and with full EMS honors. Burial in the Down Home Cemetery on Laurel Creek, Lenore, WV.
