Perry Richardson, 64, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A private inurnment will be at the Iowa Veteran Cemetery, Van Meter.
Perry was born January 2, 1949 in Des Moines to Frederick and Delores Richardson. He was a veteran of the U S Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Perry was a bus driver for the MTA. In his spare time he loved building model cars, airplanes and boats.
