She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Minnie L. Cullens of Birmingham, Ala.; 10 children, six sons, George (Karen), John (Mary), Ricky (Annice), Jesse (Kathy), Andrew Graves, all of Anderson, and Darrell (Derrick) Bell of Pendleton; four daughters, Carrie G. Wheeler of Arlington, Texas, Vera McClendon of Indianapolis, Mary Graves of Anderson, and Barbara Graves of Sheridan; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
She also raised three of her grandchildren, Alphonso Graves, Peggy Jackson and Gary Jackson after the unexpected death of her eldest daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Graves Sr.; her parents, William and Martha Craig; eight brothers, William Jr., Willie, Otis, Sylvester, John, Tom, Earnest and Eddie Craig; three sisters, Josephine Marshall, Alberta Marshall and Mary Rose; a daughter, Shirley Mae Graves; a grandson, Gary D. Jackson; and two great-grandsons, Anthony Brown and Dontonio Skinner.
Homegoing Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 2124 Cedar St., Anderson, with the Rev. Floyd Edwards Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
